This is a cast iron mechanical bank, often referred to as an "organ grinder monkey bank." These banks were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The bank operates by placing a coin in the monkey's hand, which then deposits it into the organ grinder box when a lever is triggered. The monkey is accompanied by a dog and cat, creating a whimsical scene.
